Election of Board Officers
This is the time of year when we nominate the Rancho Bernardo Newcomers Social Club Officers for the coming year. Club membership currently includes 141 households in Rancho Bernardo and the surrounding areas. Election of Officers will be held at the Annual Winter Champagne Brunch in January.
We currently have one vacancy and need a volunteer for that position, VP Membership.
The VP Membership will be on the Board, attend the second Saturday of the month Board meetings, receive all membership applications, dues and other revenues and develop and carry out activities to increase membership in the Club. This is an important, but not difficult position. Feel free to contact any Board member for additional information about this position.

In addition to the Board members listed above, Alethea Altenbern and Steve White will continue to volunteer in Staff positions.
Some of the current Officers have served for over 10 years, contributing a few hours of their time every month to keep our Club operating. Isn’t it time you considered contributing some of your time to this effort? The Club cannot continue to operate if its existence depends on a shrinking number of volunteer members. Please consider volunteering to fill this position.

Winter Champagne Brunch

Join us on Sunday, January 20 at 11 AM for our Winter Champagne Brunch. This year we are again having the Brunch in the Lake Room at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, 12280 Greens East Road. The Brunch menu includes delicious items such as Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Sausage, Pasta Primavera, Blueberry Cured Salmon with Bagels and Cream Cheese, a salad of Arugula, Fresh Figs, and Pecorino Romano with Balsamic Vinegar, and dessert pastries.
The cost for the event is $35.00 per person for members and $40 per person for non-members, payable in advance.Make your reservation by January 13. There will be no refunds after this date. February Wine & Dine

The next in our series of Wine & Dine Dinners for all members of the RB Newcomers Social Club will be at 5 pm on February 11 at Miguel’s Cocina, 10514 Craftsman Way, 4S Ranch 92127. Dinner will include a salad, dessert, a non-alcoholic drink and a choice of entrees. The entrées are Grilled Swordfish Tacos, Black Bean and Corn Enchiladas, Pork Carnitas or a Pollo Asada Burrito. All entrees include rice and beans.
